Exploiting and Refining Probabilistic Depth Estimates with RGB and Triangulating Light Curtain Fusion

Light Curtains are a type of adaptive Lidar developed in my lab. In this work, I am developing a Deep Learning algorithm that is able to exploit the uncertainties found in Monocular or Stereo based Depth estimation, and correct those uncertainties by adaptive sampling regions of maximum uncertainty. In this work, I have integrated and calibrated a stereo/gps/lidar system and developed corresponding real-time depth estimation and uncertainty algorithms to go with it.
